SPRiNG FEVER.

Sorry for the Delay.
 
 
 
 
Two weeks ago, I was feeling sick for a couple of days having a fever on and off with stomach virus. Stomach Virus is not a good thing to go through... It's absolutely horrible and I've been just busy with school and my boyfriend and also dealing with the loss of a dear friend of mine. My best friend's sister suddenly passed away a day after Valentine's day. My best friend Dara has been a best friend to me for the past 15+ years. We both have cohlear implant (from being born deaf..) My surgery was a week after hers. 
 
 
I miss you Erin Diamond. I will always love you.
Until then, we'll meet again.
 
 
So this Saturday, my best friend Dara and I will be doing our very first 5k Race together, for an excellent cause : Prevention for Animal Cruelty. I love animals, especially dogs. She's bringing her dog over to sleep over to have a sleepover and a blind date with my dog sarah. Haha. We'll see how that goes. ;) There will be an adoption center as well. Oh boy, that'll make me want to bring one home. :-)
 
 
My diet has been good -- I've lost 5lbs the week I was sick. I barely ate, just soup, jell-o and popsicles. LOL. Not much else to say. I'll post more next week: and go to weight watchers next week and get on scale and purchase snacks. So hopefully, next week will be a good one AND hopefully to lose good amount of weight day after the 5k. :-)

Cut the Junk.

So as well you know or might know, The biggest loser is one of my favorite shows. it helps me and teachs me how to be in shape and healthy and skinnny!

Jillian michaels is back -- she's been off season for two seasons in a while, doing her own thing with family and such, now is back as ever!

The biggest loser season is a lot different then previous seasons, it's with 3 young teenagers who are obese, so TBL is fighting for tackling childhood obesity.

- People are surrounded by junk food, soda's, video games (not being active), and tv. The average kid spends more than 4 1/2 hrs a day watching television.

- Accodring to the center of the disease control division, what percentage of american children aged 2-19 years are obese?
a. approx. 5%               c. approx. 17%
b. approx. 12%            d. approx. 39%

-Approximently what percentage of overweight children aged 5-10 already have at least one risk factor for heart disease?

So to make a better eating lifestyle, throw your junk out.. throw the junk in the trunk. (that includes chips, sodas, cookies, fried food, and other items.) and fill in with whole grains, vegetables, fruit, lean meats, reduced fat/fat free dairy products.

I learned an awesome tip from Bob Harper:

During this espiode, The blue team lost the challenge (trivia), so they've been in the room all week fileld with junk food for 4 1/2 hours a day all this week, with no workouts. The room also has video games and computers. So Bob came and checked on them and had an excellent , brillant idea! So in the room, there was a deck of cards-- they did the last chance workout: for an example: spades squats- hearts, sit ups, diamonds-burpees...
So for example: 5 hearts of sit ups so you do 5 sit ups, until the last card.
Brilliant idea right?!

Think Positive.

Hello there fellows-

Just finished my first class and on break until 6PM: I just ate dinner -- montreal drumsticks, go-gurt low fat yogurt, and unsweetened diced pears and mandarin oranges. ( 0 points plus each!!) I went to the gym last night and I was sweatin'!! i mean SWEATING! I was on the treadmill for 10, i mean 20 minutes, and on the elliptical for 20 minutes too. Not only that, but I lost 2 pounds in two days!!

I set my DVR to the biggest loser new season premiere that came on last night at 8 p.m.! THE BIGGEST LOSER IS BACK with trainers Bob Harper, Jillian Michaels, and Dolvett. This season is bit different now, not only adults are on the show but teenagers, which I find very fascinating! :) Obese are a big situation not only in adults, but teenagers.. There are three teenagers on the show, a boy who's 13, a girl who used to be a cheerleader who's 13, and a high school girl who is 16. I love this show, not only because of the weight loss is that I can look for more new workout routines and eating/food habits.. (You want to spice up your exercise routines, don't want to do the same thing everyday, you'll get bored of it, and not only that you won't lose weight much!) You have to do EVERY single part of your body-- ab's, thighs, chest, shoulders, and arms! 

I'll post later this week to post the notes that I took from the TBL show, I started taking down notes for my future for weight loss journey: Well, I'll post it next week because There's about 5 or 6 things on there, so next week I'll post for this week and next week's notes from the TBL.

My birthday is next month -- And I'm turning 22- 23 years old. Last year, I made blondies from weight watchers recipe! (with white chocolate chips..) This year, I want to make cupcakes (smaller portion than a slice of cake.. don't you think?!) I'm thinking either Red Velvet or Yellow Cake.. But don't worry -- It'll be in healthier version.. Instead of oil, You use unsweetened applesauce.

I love her, even though she is definitely one TOUGHEST trainers out there!

Expect AMAZING.

This is going to be a busy week for me -- I'm starting school this week with 2 classes afternoon and night class-- my last class ends at 9:30-- so when I get home, i workout then I watch some T.V. then go to bed ..I'm excited about this is because one of my classes I get to learn about print -- print ad's, logo cards, etc... and my other class is advertise your designs. Exciting huh?!

Last friday -- I went on the treadmill for 20 minutes at 3.4 speed and my legs was burning towards to the end of my time limit..-- then I  did leg presses and stairs climber.. and when I left I forgot my anytime fitness membership key -- so i went back and look for it the and the staff did. I could not find it at home to look in the car, So the next day I had to buy a new key for only $25 which isn't so bad. I got a necklace from Atlanta drift race that Garrett and I went to -- they were throwing free stuff and got this NO5 energy drink necklace to put my membership key in.. 

I've seen people who are addicted to McDonald's, Wendy's and taco bell.. Do you know much fat are in the serving-- ( you should watch for sodium imtake, and calories, and carbohydrates..)

BIG MAC -- One sandwich contains 540 calories, 260 which comes from fat and 29 grams of fat.
French Fries -- Medium size; 380 calories, calories from fat is 171 and 19 grams of fat.
That's 920 total for calories and 48 grams of fat total.

    - I get jolly time popcorn brand, with weight watchers brand on it --only 3 points plus for a bag of popcorn - in different flavors -- kettlecorn, and butter popcorn.

    - would like to try this!





    - Make a new snack for the day.(SMOOOOTHie) 1/2 cup of fruit with non-fat yogurt and blend -- or 1 banana with peanut butter and skim- fat free milk to blend.

    skinny jeans,stares, bikinis, confidence,short shorts, my health, the satisfaction, the fun, my happiness, ME.

    This is the year I'll make it to my goal weight! :) 

    Jillian Michaels is ONE hard trainer. She is tough. One of the best trainers other than Bob Harper.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR. (2013)

    Well... Today's the first day of 2013, well in minutes it'll be midnight, January 2nd.
     
     
    I had a fabulous new years eve.. I spent it with my boyfriend, Garrett watching television, when the peach dropped and had dinner with his parents.
     
    My new years resoluation:
    1. SAVE MONEY. $$$
    2. Get to my goal weight.
     
    I can't hardly believe it that THIS year-- this year that I'll be able to meet my goal weight. I've lost almost 60lbs, and yes, I'll admit.. I've been on plateau few times last year about 3-5 times but it was not around the same month.. It was once every while.. But this year, I'm going to be extremely hard -- working hard with fitness and diet. I've got about 65lbs to go. As well you know, average weigh per week is 1/2 up to 2lbs.. Just do carefully, and don't wear yourself out.. I work out six days a week, and every single saturday -- I get a day off from working out..
     
    I saw on instagram -- a woman liked my post i put on there -- a newest magazine of the month (weight watchers) with jessica simpson on the front cover..So i went to check it out who she was, turns out she's a member of weight watchers.. This is a brand new snack that I want to try out: If you know me very well, I have cravings for sweets.. :) Well it's normal, alot of people have cravings for sweets, fast food, starbucks, and the list goes on.

    Above is a monitor, waterproof, called ACTIVELINK -- by WEIGHT WATCHERS.. I got it late November, -- it's a monitor that tracks every movement and counts how much activity points plus daily.. You have to be a weight watchers member to use this --- The orginal price is $39.95 but I get weekly e-mails from weight watchers, and I recieved a coupon $10 off so I got it for $29.95, but they charge you $5 extra to your monthly payment. You clip it on your shirt,bra, sports bra, or pants.. You charge it on your computer, for me I usually charge everyday or every other day.. I also metioned that it's waterproof and you can wear it in the shower or on the beach!
     
    Recipe of the week:
    Balsamic Bowtie Pasta~
     
    - 6 ounces uncooked farfalle (bow tie pasta)
    - 2 cups grape tomatoes, halved
    -1/3 cup thinly sliced fresh basil leaves
    - 2 tablespoons Lite or Fatfree (or reduced fat) Balsamic Vingariette
    - 1/2 teaspoon garlic
    - 1/2 teaspoon salt
    -1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    - 4 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
    - 1 (4-ounce) package crumbled reduced-fat feta cheese
    1.  Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat. Drain. Combine cooked pasta, tomatoes and basil in a large bowl.
    2. While pasta cooks, combine balsamic vinigariette (through pepper) in a small bowl, stirring with a whisk. Gradually add oil to vinegar mixture, stirring constantly with a whisk. Drizzle vinaigrette over pasta mixture; toss well to coat. Add cheese; toss to combine.
